Abstract Aim: To study the clinical pharmacokinetics of Homoharringtonine (HHT)in chemotherapy of acute leukemia (AL),Methods: The content of HHT in 42 cases of AL were determined. The correlation of potency and drug concentration in plasma and pharmacokinetic parameters were studied. Results:The distributive model of HHT in vivo was of two-compartment. The pharmacokinetics in different patients were significantly different. The parameter K12/K21 related to the chemotherapeutic efficacy and with very significant difference between effective and non-effective groups. There was no significant difference between single-drug group and the drugs-combination group. Conclusion:The results suggest that parameter K12/K21 correlates negatively with the potency of HHT.
